If you already have a brick and mortor store, that's great!
But, don't assume that the customer that walks through your door is the same customer that will visit your new website.
Your online store customer can be quite different in terms of :
What Products /services they are shopping -
Online stores offer a greater variety of products and it is very easy to comparison shop for not only sales items, but specific colors, sizes and features as well.
Times/days they shop
Online shoppers prefer the convenience of shopping whenever they want -- 24/7. For other shoppers the ability to see and touch the actual product is more important then the convenience of shopping whenever they are able.
Customer demographics-
Currently 59% of all people prefer to shop online -- with the majority of that total made up of younger shoppers.
payment preferences
Younger shoppers prefer a wider range of payment options and it an online store could easily lose sales by not including options like Zelle, Affirm, and ApplePay .

The ONLY thing you really need to do -- INSTALL WEBSITE TRACKING!
